Welcome
Ben Okri was born in Nigeria in 1959, and now lives in England. At once a poet, a fiction writer and an essayist, he is best known for his novel The Famished Road, for which he won the Booker Prize in 1991. His latest books of fiction are Prayer for the Living (2019) and The Freedom Artist (2019), and his new volume of poetry, entitled A Fire in My Head, is due to be released in 2021.
